Paul Evans is a British landscape painter, based in Lavenham, Suffolk. With a gift for being able to present nature in all her glory, Paul tries not just to capture the sight, but also the sounds, smell and ambience of the exact moment in his mind. He has painted many breathtaking areas of the British countryside, including the Kent Weald and Sussex Downs. His coastal paintings, from Cornwall and East Anglia, never fail to take the breath away. Paul Evans’ work aims to transport the viewer to a spot right next to him, surrounded by nature, at one with the world. As his work has progressed, he has moved into more abstract backgrounds, whilst maintaining an exquisite eye for detail of his central subjects.
