Artistry runs in Anna’s family, it was not only Anna’s mum who inspired her creative talents but artists such as Turner and Matisse with their expressive styles and vivid palettes but also fashion illustrators, with their effortless styles. Both helping her to find her unique style and balance in concepts. With formal elements of composition and line. Anna’s free expression comes in the form of brushes, sponges, palette knives and even her hands, letting her instinct take over. She uses oils, which see can manipulate and includes spray paints, metallic acrylics and inks which add texture to her work. She reconstructs landscapes which capture the beauty and dynamism of stunning harbour location sunsets. Grouping colours, she sees in a scene, forming a visual harmony that is her response to a scene. Recreating the energy and emotion she feels from an environment. Which she describes as “exploding skies”, she produces a whole spectrum of vibrant and radiant colours, forming these dramatic scenes. Exhibiting throughout the UK in various galleries across the country. Gaining international recognition for her work with Saatchi and working on high profile interior design projects. Recently completing a commission for the University of York commemorating the History department's 50th anniversary.
