Rozanne Bell was born in Zimbabwe and has painted since childhood, the light , colours and the contrasts of the country influencing her work. Rozanne started exhibiting at the age of sixteen, mainly animals and flowers but since then her repertoire has expanded to include many and varied scenes including landscapes, harbours, twilight and moonlight and even space and galaxies. Each picture Rozanne paints is an original with no one painting being the same as another. Her love of naive art, traditional and contemporary means she has adapted her style to suit the extraordinary medium of resin. Often with six or seven layers of paint, with extreme levels of texturing and also working colour into the resin. This attains a transparency, depth and clarity of colour only previously dreamt of.
