The film-poster quality of twin brothers Franklyn and Brendan Connor's artwork could be seen to reflect the dramatic tale of their artistic beginnings; their story of fleeing the cult lifestyle they were raised in at the age of 16 to pursue independent life in Brooklyn, New York seems like something straight out of a film. It was this process of adjusting to the modern world, however, that sparked their collaborative art venture, as they shared their discoveries through sketchpads. Now, the Connor Brothers have reached the heights of the contemporary art world- the underlying humour combined with retro imagery and impactful block colours has proven a popular mix, gaining them growing notoriety around the world.
