Established in 2011 as an art gallery and framing shop based in Weedon, The Rose Gallery moved in to a larger space within the Bell lifestyle store in central Northampton in 2014. We have continued to grow and extend our gallery space allowing us to share even more fine art originals, limited edition prints and sculptures, providing a welcoming space for those of you who want to view our artwork in real life.

Our physical home is very important to us and we have developed our online presence to have the same inviting and warm feel. We are now the UK's leading independent online art gallery, working with over 100 artists and showcasing thousands of pieces of artwork, giving you a wide selection of artwork to choose from.

Our aim is to help you find artworks you love, there are many ways the gallery can do that. Our gallery is a space for you to explore your interests, discover new loves and meet people who feel the same.

We’ve been fortunate to establish wonderful relationships with our artists meaning we’ve had ‘Meet the Artist’ events and special limited offerings from some of our more popular artists including Craig Alan, Rebecca Lardner and Sam Toft. If there are artists you are particularly drawn to, let us know and we’ll keep you updated on any of their news.

Having been around for a while, we’re confident our continued growth stems from our commitment to providing the service you want.

For some, that will be news of upcoming releases, artist events and updates when limited releases are launched. For others, you’ll want friendly faces - real people who understand what you’re looking for, where it will go, or perhaps your concern about making that first art purchase.

We want you to be happy with our service, there’s no pressure and lots of support, because buying art is about creating a home, and it’s your home.

Our gallery is within Bell Northampton, the Home Lifestyle Store on Kingsthorpe Rd, Northampton. This is a wonderful space, within a stunning showroom focused on you - your home and your lifestyle. Bell is a welcoming venu and holds a host of lifestyle stores that you can visit, it also holds a wonderful cafe serving delicious lunches, moreish cakes and a range of hot and cold drinks. You’re welcome to come and visit to see what we have to offer.

 Meet The Rose Gallery Team

Whether you’re looking for individuality from a piece of artwork or advice on art investment, our team of art experts are on hand to advise

The independent owner of the Rose Gallery, Deborah took over the gallery while it was still based in the Heart of the Shires. Her greatest challenge in those early days was offering art for all tastes rather than filling the gallery with her favourites. Seeing the opportunity to bring art, with excellent customer service, to more people - she has developed the website to reach an online audience and moved to Bell for a more accessible space. Deborah loves finding new and exciting ways to reach art lovers particularly by organising artist visits and events; she also loves seeing the joy art brings to customers - whether that’s tears of happiness when the portrait of a family pet is unveiled or seeing a family turn their house into a home.

Deborah loves London cityscapes, particularly by Tom Butler, with these vibrant scenes reminding her of her previous years working in the city. Fortunately this attraction is shared by her husband - who particularly enjoys gallery events when the wine and beer are flowing. Deborah shares her quest for a sold-out limited-edition of Brighton by Tom which her husband only mentioned he loved after the last edition was sold - as she says “A reminder to buy while you can, you never know when the last edition will sell.”

Having graduated from the University of Northampton with a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art Painting and Drawing, Tanya is an artist who continues to paint and takes great joy in the process of creating an artwork. She says “One of the things I most enjoy about art is it's not ageist, racist or sexist... as a painter/artist you can be anybody behind a canvas, nobody cares, it's a great place to hide - It's all about the artwork.” The gallery reflects this diversity, providing a space which is inclusive and kind with a focus on individuals and what they are looking for. Having been at the gallery since 2019, Tanya says there have been many changes in that time while the focus on customer service has always been key. She believes the great team, and their enjoyment in the work, is what has made the gallery so successful.

One of the artists Tanya loves is Fabian Perez - a master of figurative painting who brings his subjects to life with his painterly technique, playing with the contrast of light and dark. Another is Mr Brainwash - cleverly paying homage to other artists throughout his work, referencing Banksy, Jeff Koons, Keith Haring and even Leonardo Da Vinci; not only does Tanya admire MBW’s “cheeky urban style” developed from his street art roots into mixed media mastery, she admires his branding and publicity, an artist who has created his own space.

Dinah’s love of the arts started at 3 years old with her first pair of ballet shoes. As soon as she could hold a pencil she drew, and recorder mastery led her into playing the oboe. Dinah is still never without a pen or pencil in hand, her A-levels in Art and Design steering her into a career in typesetting leading to graphic design within the print industry, until a chance conversation led her into the world of Fine Art. Dinah now has over 24 years gallery and framing experience and has seen the art world change immensely in that time. Most importantly for Dinah though, her role is about people. “I’m a people person and love nothing more than getting to know clients and their families and helping guide and advise them to the piece of artwork for their homes which best fits their personality and living space – something that will give them pleasure every day.”

Dinah loves figurative artwork with Vincent Kamp a particular favourite, the way he creates a mood and feeling within his paintings and his choice of characters we wouldn’t normally see; his inspiration from Dutch masters such as Rembrandt, means he is a master of light, shade and mood. Another of Dinah’s favourites is Danielle O’Connor Akiyama whose paintings seem to come straight from the heart, with her use of colour, texture and flow giving an ethereal feel to her abstract floral pieces - Dinah says “you could lose yourself in her work on a daily basis.”
