Joe Galindo, born in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, is a contemporary artist known for his bold, expressive style and unorthodox techniques. From an early age, Galindo demonstrated a natural flair for drawing, which eventually led him to pursue art full-time after university and a series of traditional 9-to-5 jobs.
His creative journey began with commissioned portraits of pets, footballers, and musicians—often sourced through social media—to fund his early work. This evolved into the creation of vibrant abstract landscapes that gained traction in galleries and brought wider attention to his distinctive approach.
At 24, driven by a desire for change and exploration, Galindo left his hometown for Vietnam, sparking a period of travel across Asia and eventually to Australia. It was in Melbourne and Sydney where he returned to painting, inspired by the artists he met and the diverse natural landscapes he encountered—from dense jungles to dramatic coastlines and rich wildlife.
In 2022, after a final stop in Sri Lanka, Galindo returned to the UK to fully reconnect with his creative purpose.

Every artwork is truly one-of-a-kind, driven by the spontaneous motion of the artist’s hand, making each piece not only unique but deeply personal. Through his art, Galindo seeks to convey emotion, spark curiosity, and form a visceral connection between subject and viewer.
