After years of experimentation, Zalini developed a unique technique he calls "injected scribble." Using syringes to apply fine lines of paint, he creates textured, layered artworks that evolve unpredictably, capturing depth and emotion.
His anthropomorphic animal portraits blend human traits with wildlife, conveying stories and emotions through expressive features and vibrant colors. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, reflecting his commitment to originality and innovation..
Pet owners can now capture their beloved animals in Zalini’s extraordinary style. Zalini’s artwork goes beyond a simple portrait; it’s a tribute to your pet’s unique personality. Every commission is a custom piece, thoughtfully created to capture the true character of your beloved companion.
Case Study
Dave recently experienced the loss of his beloved Field Spaniel, Jess. Deeply moved by Zalini's work, he wanted to commission an artwork that would serve as a fitting and meaningful tribute to her memory.
A mechanic by trade, Dave often took Jess along with him in the car. She always insisted on sitting in the front seat, as though she believed it was her rightful place. Frequently, she would climb onto his lap and gaze forward with a look that seemed to say, "Look at me, I'm driving the car; I'm in the driver’s seat."
The Process
To begin the creative process, Dave selected the photograph above, whilst not a photo of Jess herself, it perfectly captures this spirit and personality. The open mouth, teeth showing, full of character, it was exactly how she was.
Our Gallery Manager, Dinah assisted Dave in the commission process with Zalini, presenting a previous Zalini artwork which aligned with Dave's vision. From here each element of the artwork was carefully woven into a complete vision, from colour combinations, activity. expression and accessories.
Add personalisation
Personalisation lies at the heart of each commission, from capturing the animal or breed with accuracy, to reflecting unique expressions and emotions that tell their story. Clients are invited to tailor every aspect: from clothing and accessories that hint at personality or shared memories, to a colour theme or activity that brings the artwork to life. Each detail can be chosen to ensure the final piece is as distinctive and meaningful as the subject it celebrates.
