Roy's People
Roy's People
Roy's People, the pseudonym claimed by British artist Roy Tyson, is a unique creator, often choosing to feature the inclusion of 3D elements to his artwork - "as an artist I like to explore a miniature world from the viewpoint of a person that is 2cm tall." This quirky take on contemporary artwork has earned him corporate commissions and installations with numerous global brands, including Apple, Ted Baker and Dell, and fans around the world are avid collectors of Roy's work.
Roy's fine art creations are witty and distinctive, with his venture into the art world beginning with him taking photographs of miniature figures on the London streets back in 2012. Nearly a decade on, his pieces are now exhibited in all corners of the globe, from New York to Shanghai. Roy likes to explore the works of modern masters, like Jackson Pollock and Damien Hirst, but with a twist: his 'Scrubbed Out' series features iconic art images being erased by tiny custom-made 3D figurines climbing on scaffolding.
His takes on art are thought-provoking, bringing into question permanence in art, among other intriguing themes.
