Fabian Perez Celebrates 20 Years of Artistic Brilliance

Anyone who’s visited our gallery recently is likely to have seen the lates new releases from Fabian Perez. Known for his captivating portrayals of emotion and atmosphere, Perez's latest offerings celebrate two decades of artistic excellence while bringing something fresh for both knowledgeable collectors and new admirers.

A Creative Journey: From Argentina to Althorp

Born in Argentina, Perez has developed a distinctive style that blends sensuality, mystery, and real emotion. His use of light and shadow creates a dramatic atmosphere, with works often featuring elegant figures in moments of contemplation or passion. He calls this ‘neo-emotionalism’, an approach that has earned him recognition worldwide, with his work gracing the walls of prestigious collections across continents.

Art lovers might remember Perez visiting Northamptonshire in 2019, where he celebrated the launch of his book at Althorp House with Earl Spencer. During this visit, he unveiled a stunning portrait of Lady Spencer for the family's private collection – his first portrait of a member of British aristocracy.

This new anniversary collection features four exceptional works, including two pieces that revisit Perez’s signature raised-glass motif. Unlike his characteristic nighttime settings, these new works feature lighter backgrounds of blues and golds, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. The collection also includes Summer Love, a romantic street scene, and a compelling self-portrait, offering a thoughtful reflection on his artistic journey.

Perez says, “I compare color and technique with music and rhythm, the subject matter and composition with lyric and poetry. I want to invite the viewer to remain in front of my paintings, not feel rejected by them. The longer they linger, the better my chance to communicate with them. When music is gentle, people will listen to it. I take things that people like to look at and then they see more deeply into it.”
